What can it not do?
- 20,000 characters and 4,000 values per document; depth at most 64; at most 500 differences
- Strict JSON only; duplicate keys rejected; no YAML, JSON5, patch application, or source-code diff
- Arrays compare by position; no inferred identity or move detection
- Numeric exponents are limited to -10000 through 10000; number spelling differences alone are ignored
